Attorney at the Supreme Court – Criminal Law | Public Law | Immigration Law | Medical Malpractice | Family Law | Animal Legal Protection
Born in Thessaloniki, Maria-Eleftheria D. Koromila graduated from the private school “Apostolos Pavlos” and was admitted among the top-ranking candidates to the Faculty of Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2009, from which she graduated in 2013. In 2014, she began her postgraduate studies in the Department of Criminal and Criminological Sciences at the same university, successfully completing them with a thesis titled: “Independent Claims in Criminal Trials.”
She has been a member of the Thessaloniki Bar Association since 2015 and an Attorney at the Supreme Court (Areios Pagos) since 2024. She has practiced active and uninterrupted litigation law since the beginning of her career, handling high-stakes and demanding cases from an early age.
She has attended numerous legal conferences and specialized seminars in both Greece and Germany, primarily focusing on Criminal Law. Over her ten-year career, she has dealt with a wide range of legal matters, with a strong emphasis in recent years on Criminal Law, Immigration Law, Public Law (with specialization in administrative annulment proceedings, substantive disputes, and lawsuits against the Greek State), Family Law, and Medical Malpractice. In the latter field, she has demonstrated documented expertise and significant success both in criminal and civil court, substantially restoring violations of human dignity, health, and life itself.
A particularly defining aspect of her professional identity is her active engagement with issues of animal legal protection. Since 2024, she has been the legal advisor to the Panhellenic Federation for the Environment, Animals, and the Abolition of Hunting (“NEMESIS”), under the presidency of Ms. Anastasia Bompolaki. Simultaneously, she represents the animal welfare association “Empathy”, led by Ms. Varitimi Pantazidou, in all related legal matters, including cases of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment. She has in-depth knowledge of Law 4830/2021 and the “Argos” Program, and she advocates decisively for animal rights across Greece and within the European Union.
She is fluent in Greek and English and has a very good command of French. She is also highly proficient with new technologies and digital tools, which enhances the speed and efficiency of the legal services she provides.
Beyond her legal work, the founding attorney has actively engaged in writing literary essays, some of which have been recognized on online literary platforms.
Her law office serves clients not only in Greece but also internationally, with cases involving individuals and businesses across Europe, America, Canada, and Asia.
